Second Painting

After SpringBreak

I haven’t updated my blog for about two weeks.

Had a great time over the spring break, and now I am ready to focus back on my paintings.

After the full class critique with Robert, I decided to finish my big painting without looking at the image (collage) as a direct references, so now I’m trying to make it more abstract and add richer colors.

Also, I decided to pause on it for a sec, work on my second painting (smaller – pink and green one) and by the time I’m half way done with it, i will work on both of the painting simultaneously to learn from one another and check if it has similar theme / style.

At this moment, I only need to work on the big painting for about 10 more hours (one full week) to finish it and built 24 x 36 inch canvas for me to start on small painting.

By late-mid March, I will start working on finish touches for both paintings at the same time.

So i am going to studios on weekends also.

Display Idea

Canvas 1 : 27 x 84 inches

Canvas 2 (if I can finish on time) : 22 x 32 inches

Between 1 & 2 : about 10 – 15 inches

Happy New Semester!

After the end of semester critique, I realized my small paintings are too flat, and lacks color.

This interrupts the purpose that I wanted to express through the paintings.

Also, I lacked informations for my color-psychology study.
